Ok, so I have a lovely flock of 19 chickens and 2 male rouen ducks. The chicken breeds are Easter Eggers/Americauna mixes, Rhode Island Reds, Silver Lacewing Wyandottes, Cinnamon Queens, Barred Rocks. My rooster, BubbaRoo, is a Speckled Sussex, and he and one of my Cinnamon Queens are responsible for 5 crossbreeds. They have some interesting mottling and colours.
I figured I have feathers to spare and there are people always looking for feathers. And I have some really pretty beetle green roo feathers that I would love to get used rather than become compost!
All proceeds from feathers go directly into their feed and treat purchases. 🐓
